Gcr 8485b drivers for mac. Ok so I've posted here about this issue under Technical Problems All the detail is there. And no one on the thread has had an official response. PROBLEM: Traktor glitches audibly and immediately after I get a 1sec/half second delay in the response to the timecode movement.

Have to reboot Traktor each time (while playing a CD in the middle of my gigs!) to fix it. Then it often happens a second time during a 6/7 hour gig. The issue existed in 2.6.8 and only occurs when using timecode vinyl with my Pioneer DJM-T1 mixer (not seen it YET using timecode and my Audio4 but not used it for months).

With PC/Mac OS and DJM-T1. Keep pushing the 'FX2 EFFECT ON/OFF'button.

Was hoping 2.8 Scratch might fix it, not upgrading to 2.8.1 yet as I just don't trust new versions until they are tested. I tested 2.8 at home for a few hours with the DJM and timecode, this big problem mentioned in the above thread only occurs when I am in the middle of a live gig! IS it only an issue when used with Pioneer Scratch-certified mixers, as those DJMs are the ones people are having problems with. Error is random while just playing a track and the macbook is running well at the time with good CPU usage. DJM drivers are up to date too and the timecode vinyl is brand new. This problem has existed for at least 7 months, on two MacBooks. I can no longer trust Traktor scratch with my DJM, VERY tempted to buy a Serato timecode mixer, seriously.

Can NI please comment finally? HI BM3 Your clue sounded promising, but I've just looked and there are no settings for sample rate or latency in the Pioneer driver/utility for the DJM T1 (and it's the latest version too), those setting only appear in Traktor's audio settings menu for the mixer and they are set to normal 44.100 hz and latency is usually set to 192, so not the very lowest latency and CPU always handles it. I've not noticed that the problem occurs on high CPU load, just happens when a track is playing. I've never seen anything like sample rate settings etc for any DJM driver software. I'm using a clean one month old pair of mk2 timecode vinyl but it's happened on various sets of mk2 vinyl. Not YET seen it using timecode CDs but then again I don't use them really and certainly never for long sets.

Problem only occurs at gigs too when Traktor has been running for a couple of hours at least. I have the exact same problem, using DJM 850 as soundcard and with timecode + X1 and F1. This happen totally random, it could work for a week without any problems, and then it happen twice in one night. The timecodes become laggy, as mentioned in the first post but midi controls work with no problem. It glitches and then this happen.

After restart everything is normal again. I'm also on macbook and osx yosemite with latest drivers from pioneer (even tho it seems that they arent updating it anymore). Click to expand.I just don't understand. The driver (here: ) for my T1 is nearly 4 years old, and it's latest available but it worked fine for ages on older versions of Traktor and older versions of OS X (Mavericks and that one before that) so has something broke in traktor since last year? So, I've seen this on two macbook pros (both run fine and smooth), on various versions of Traktor (since middle of last year-ish) and at 3 versions of Applr OS X now, same T1 mixer (always had the latest firmware and driver/utility), various clean mk2 timecode vinyls, various USB cables and even various turntables and needles.

Not seen it on other djms or cd timecode as I've not used them long enough in any one session to see the problem occur. Any thread I've seen about this issue is always with scratch enabled Djms and Traktor scratch. But as you say, other users may not see this problem at all. Only consistent theme is using scratch with djms for a prolonged period. I think something is wrong with Traktor as this never happened once in 2 years long use before.

I can't find any avid audio installed. Well don't expect any help from N.I. They won't even comment on this problem, they just keep ignoring my e-mails. This has been made obvious because they have replied to other mails i have sent them in the same timeframe. The bottom line here is that N.I.

Is concentrating on its own hardware before anything else. The Pioneer drivers work fine under supported operating systems and have worked for a number of years, it is the latest updates to Traktor that are causing issues.

I have to seriously consider whether Traktor is for me any more. I just tried this though, and it resets the deck settings when you change latency, in other words the timecode deactivates and sometimes needs recalibrating.

Not sure that the audio would be okay in this case so it leads to the same outcome: Traktor needs restarting to get things back to normal. What with this issue and the cue point issue i am having, Traktor sucks.

I have no use for things like the S8 and D2 and it seems this is what N.I. Sony vaio vgn-sz55gn drivers for mac. Will be developing / concentrating on for the future. Little update: serato still has this Problem too. They just launched a beta to investigate this: This build does not contain any new features and is basically identical to Serato DJ 1.7.5.

The purpose of this beta is to focus on mega latency issues Rane & Pioneer DVS users have been experiencing. Last year we spent a lot of time and effort on trying to determine what was causing the 'megalatency' bug that people were experiencing. At the time we came up with a heuristic that seemed to work and detect the problem after it has been introduced and restart the audio connection, making the problem go away. Because it was so hard to reproduce on devices we had a hard time verifying that it was fixed. We now have a test rig which uses the exact code DJ uses for connection and can automatically detect the latency using funky audio routing and so could determine exactly how often it was happening for every piece of hardware and configuration. This rig has now seen thousands of hours of testing and detected megalatency hundreds of times.

The build linked below has a new detection mechanism that has been found to work and successfully detected every instance in the test rig and do so half a second before the problem is introduced. But, because the test rig isn't DJ, we need confirmation that it fixes things in the field. If you are experiencing mega latency (that is: a delay between moving the record and the UI/sound) please give this build a try.
